Background Info
If you want to start a career in real estate as a property manager or sales representative, or are considering upskilling to become a licensed real estate agent, the education requirements have changed substantially. A national review of the old CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) concluded that an overhaul of the real estate qualification was needed to better reflect current job requirements. The new education requirements reflect significant changes to standards of competency for estate agents and agents’ representatives.

The new qualification has been structured to identify both restricted and unrestricted registrations.
To apply for unrestricted registration to work in both Sales and Property Management you must complete 18 Units of Competency from the new CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. If you plan to one day become a Licensed Real Estate Agent and operate your own agency, you will need to do this course first.
